About this project

This video was created as part of the Introductory to 3D course at the IT University of Copenhagen. The character, Zoe the Zombie, as well as her universe, were created from scratch over 2 months. Zoe was an inspiration from animated characters such as Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride as well as other zombie cartoons found on the web.

The project was extremely fun to do, but it took a lot of work as it was just one person doing the entire project from beginning to end. The processes involved were:

  1. Concept development
  2. 3D modelling of character and environment
  3. Texturing and sculpting
  4. Lighting
  5. Character rigging for animation
  6. Development of the storyboard
  7. Animating
  8. Final video editing
